Ashmatic bronchitis is this normal ?

ok so my question is is it normal to not be able to breathe usally only at nite time i just feel like i cnt breathe and my heart strarts racing iv been only aboe to take vicdin to supress the coughing cuz the cough syrup dnt help so is this normal or should i been seen my doc again soon
